Hi sorry if this question is stupid but does this work with dvds, i.e can it be used to played games that are backed up on dvd's? I've been using neogamma to play backups but im thinking of changing to something else..

If this does not work with dvds are there any other backup launchers that play dvds?

Thanks in advance.
GX has disc loading, you may want to try them. If you ever want to switch to USB loading, you know where to come back to, though

Actually, I just remembered...Hermes' uLoader supports disc loading as well, doesn't it?

i was using cfg 48b and i tried IOS 249 and 223, but NTSC NSMB wont work for me. i get a message like this: "an error has occurred, press the eject button, remove the game, and turn the power off to the console, etc, etc." i thought there was some sort of a fix included for it, maybe there is some option i was supposed to change? also the cover image doesn't show for it... i don't know why that would be. i think i got a version without any patches... but i suppose it COULD be a bad dump.

Have anybody tested new IOS249_rev15? It should work with FAT now, and maybe even with FAT32 SD cards.
I've tested it on my WBFS partition. Played NSMB Wii from my original rip just fine. It won't 'just work' with FAT loading. That will need to be coded specifically into it. I'm pretty sure the mention in the change log of FAT stuff does not mean anything for launching of games. Once source is released, maybe oggzee will feel inclined to add support to it, but I believe the ehc module there is internal and a new version of the IOS might be necessary.

If covers aren't showing up, then the disk would have the wrong ID. Wrong ID means the game won't be patched. Check the ID on the options screen and see if the game ID starts with "SMNE". My suggestion for a solution is to buy the game and rip it yourself. This game is well worth your money.

I tested it against v47 and it is much faster, especially with a forwarder channel, but it will only boot games with one wbfs file. Any game with split files it just freezes with a black screen after loading. I tested every game I have and all games booted without the split, and all games froze with a split.
Bummer!

Ok let me fix that.
Thanks everyone for testing.

And what about DL Games, like SSBB? Is usloadercfg need to be altered if it works? (I remember some warnings about dl-games launched with 249 ios)

I watched the How to Play video just fine, and MP3 worked in MPT as well. I didn't try re-ripping them with rev 15, but I'm sure that works too.

No problem, I didn't want the wrong information floating around out there.

I must commend you guys, the work on this loader is incredible. I know Oggzee and Usptactical, do th ecoding, but you have an awful lot to do with this as well.

Thanks again.

Are you kidding? Dr. Clipper does ALL the hard work here.

Probably stupid questions, but here goes:

I'm using v48b and have a FAT32 partition that works fine, but I can't get Conf. USB Loader to work from the FAT32 partition on the USB HDD. It won't recognize the partition and asks me to partition a WBFS drive. Once I plug in my SD card and run Conf. USB loader from there it recognizes FAT32 just fine. What am I doning wrong? I would like to run it all from the FAT32 partition on the HDD (program, games and covers).
How do you flip game covers around like shown in the youtube clip? When I click on a game it just goes to the text list of games with options.

Take the usb-loader folder on your SD card and put it on your USB HDD, then delete it from the SD card.

What are you using to launch it?

Use the hybrid channel listed on the first post...

Configurable USB Loader "Hybrid Channel" v44: (by Zektor & Narolez)
SDUSB-Loader_cfg44_Hybrid.rar
This is a combination of a full channel and a forwarder - if the boot.dol is found it acts as a forwarder otherwise it's a full channel. See included README-HYBRID.txt for details.

I've actually taken the channel dol and placed that in my pre-loader so it launches the loader automatically.

If you use the up arrow on the D pad it will flip the cover over so you can see the back of it. Is that what you are talking about.

The down arrow will scroll thru the different GUI interfaces.

That's what I said. not that you and Oggzee don't do anything either.

Sometime it seems like Dr. Clipper is an alias for Oggee. He knows as much about the program as you 2 do.

Hi all, I am attempting to use cfgusb via SD card only, no USB device. My wii is 4.1u, cios rev 15, no hermes cios installed at all.. I use gparted to create 2 partitions, first partition is ~700mb fat32, second partition was created as ext2 and then formatted to wbfs via wbfsGUI.v14.2 under windows. (sidenote, If anyone has an alternate suggestion for formatting an unmounted SD partition on Win7 64 , please let me know). The Hitachi microdrive driver is not compatible, so I can't use that trick. I used wbfsGUI to install a game, then attempted to fire up cfgusb. The loader starts, and I am prompted to select either the USB or SD drive. I select SD, it hits the 30 second counter, then it times out. Help please.

It seems some drives just can't have both the loader and the games on the same partition. Ensure you're using th fat version of the loader, though, that might help.

. I'm just a dedicated fan that has a sense of patterns and a good memory for the retrieval of trivial facts.

I suggest you use GParted to format the partition as unformatted, then let Cfg itself format the partition to WBFS. I've never had anyone complain about that method in my tutorial, so it seems to have the best chance of the Wii seeing the partition. The only downside is that you won't be assigned a drive letter in Windows, but that's not really a problem for most good apps.

The game works without the need for alt dols in 48b. For an offline install method for rev 15, check my tutorial.

megauplod link is down something about missing link and wans dosent say anything about rev 15
Strange. That seemed to be the only official link for rev 15. I'lll look around a bit, but if you already have the rev 15 installer, then that's all you need.

nope still on 14 an i just installed 222/223

edit
i may have found one going to see(torrent site says 3.7 mb)
