Guys, I absolutely love this app. Great job to all involved.

I have BootMii, Homebrew Channel, and 3.2U... Is there any way to get the Wii to boot directly to the USB loader?

Also, is there any way to have random music play at startup? I'm getting tired of my Carribean style Mario music. ;-)

Keep up the good work!
...I'm using Preloader and it has an option to boot from a file instead of to the System Menu....

Got it working! Thanks.

This really turns the Wii into an awesome system.

I have about 150 games with about 30 favourites at the moment. I also tried making the first and last games in the list (Zack & Wiki, and Alien Syndrome) favourites as well just in case there was something screwy it skipping covers but that didn't make any difference. Let me know if you want me to try ''s with different amounts of favourites etc or if there's any other type of testing you can think of that you'd like me to try. Thanks.

OK thanks. I fixed it.

Wow! That was quick

Does any one know what the differences are between hermes cios222/223 v2.1c and the latest version? I installed the latest a little while ago to play guitar hero and Rockband because using cios249rev10 was causing guitar hero to skip while playing, now I'm stuck on 36d because I can't load GH or RB with 222/223 on the newer version of Configurable USB Loader. Basically I'd like the to be able to update to the latest version cause I don't want to miss out on the new feaures, but I don't want loose the ability to play these games and I'm really hoping support for the latest version of 222/223 is in the works.......

I just installed Boogie and tried it. You are correct, it shows as ssx.dol - and I don't even have SSX installed
wtf.gif

Anyways, I'm guessing that's just what it was named when they packed up the game.
When making the game, they probably just used their code from SSX to play the initial logos and then boot the main game, and couldn't be bothered to change the filename. The only way to see the name of the file is to extract the .iso, so why bother with a proper naming scheme.

Also, for those still confused about the alt .dol mehod, go here.

And for description of configuration options, like changing gui text colour or any other feature, go here.

QUOTE(VivaCaligula @ Jul 25 2009, 07:44 AM) First let me say that this loader looks dank and I am dying to get it to work, but I am having loader problems. I have gotten my drive to work with Ultimate usb-loader 7.4 running IOS249 and rev 10. I tried this with 249 and rev 13 with no luck. Will trying 222/223 possibly solve my problem? This is what I have gathered from reading, but I am not sure and I don't want to mess anything up on my console.

Keep up the good work!
Did you put your drive into the correct Wii USB slot? It needs to be in the slot closer to the edge/base of the Wii (bottom or right, depending on orientation, when looking at the back).

If so, IOS 222/223 might help. Go here to get the installation procedure, but use my link for v2.1C of uLoader as the latest versions don't work.

support ios222 v3 ?

cant seem to get covers to work

heres a pic of my sd

2vty3xg.jpg

and here are the custom setting in config.txt

covers_path = [sd:/usb-loader]
# Changing covers_path will change all covers_path_* like this:
covers_path_2d = [sd:/usb-loader/covers]
covers_path_3d = [sd:/usb-loader/3d]
covers_path_disc = [sd:/usb-loader/disks]
covers_path_full = [sd:/usb-loader/3dcovers]

im a doing it wrong because the readme is a bit iffy when it comes to cover location

Do you see that on the list of changes?
smile.gif

It's not there.

But, can you re-try it with the latest release? If it works with cfg 36, it should with 37 as well. There was a problem with the new libfat in one of the 37 betas which prevented it to work with cios 222 which has now been fixed in 37 release.

Remove the square parentheses. They denote the default option and are not meant to be included. You also don't need the "covers_path=sd:/usb-loader" line, seeing as you set them all anyway.

There was a problem with the new libfat in one of the 37 betas which prevented it to work with cios 222, but this has now been fixed in 37 release, so please try the final 37 release again, and let me know if it works now.

I did a batch resize option on the normal wide 3d PAL covers.
Ican upload them to my server. Is there a speciffic path they must have?

While the loader still supports *_wide.png covers, I consider them obsolete, since the covers are resized automatically anyway from the normal 1:1 aspect ratio covers (if _wide covers are not present).

Usually you don't need to change anything.
widescreen is auto-detected and the cover sizes is automatically adjusted.

but, you might want to take a look at the options: widescreen, covers_size and wcovers_size

Can the auto resizing from 1:1 also be done for missing background_wide.png files, or would it look really bad?

It certainly can be done, although I've never tried it to see what it looks like.

Pretty quiet on here for a Saturday. Everyone is busy F5'ing Wanin's blog I suppose.

Anyways, with many of the functional things out of the way, I'd like to hear from you guys about new features you'd like to see in the loader. If you'd like a new gui theme (anything you can imagine), if something really irks you, if you want more settings/configuration options, just mention it. Not that we're looking for stuff to do, but if it's something small (and we like it) we'll add it.

Thanks for all the support!

Im gona say you and your mate oggzee are double posting like mad lol.
Anyways i wouldnt like my idea about scrolling with the wiiremote in their but it may be a bit hard.
The new rev may produce new things for the loader you never know lol.
