I have installed - IOS 202 --> using IOS 36
- IOS 222 --> using IOS 36
- IOS 223 --> using IOS 37 merged with IOS 36

with dol installation.

With Uloader 1.8 the lan adapter works perfectly [i tried cod 5]

SDUSB-Loader_cfg31at hat you have linked doesn't recognize my Hard Disk [is on usb 0].
If i put off lan adapter from usb 1, SDUSB-Loader_cfg31a recognize the Hd.

The same thing for Uniloader.

Only Uloader works perfectly

SM4.0E with Hermes 222 as default = crash
SM4.0E with Hermes 223 37 merge 36 = crash

The systemmenu is patched with waninkokos 4.0 upgrader.
Im useing the Hermes cios installer 1.6 package from the uloader 1.8E. USBloader+CFG v31a
Loading cios222 and 223 from uloader works flawless.

Maybe that helps to solve the issue.

Thanks, that's a very informative bug report

Can I ask if you can write down the stack trace numbers, in the crash screen, at least the first 3.
Or if you take a picture of the crash screen and post it somewhere or send it to me ([email protected])

There is no Stack dump. it freezes with following message:
CODE[+] Booting Wii game, please wait...

IOS 222 (m-load) or
CODE
[+] Booting Wii game, please wait...

IOS 223 (m-load)
Drive is still active(blinking) and a press on the reset button jumps back to hbc "instant".
I'm useing a Toshiba HDD 500GB with 2 primary partitions. 1st is fat32 2nd is wbfs.
Haven't tried v31aa yet. Will try it this afternoon.
try the other usb port

it should solve the hang at loading issue , and OggZee you are right buddy kwiirk beta3 have no dip so let's stay with beta 2 for IOS222 and Hermes 37/36 for IOS223

Only Uloader works perfectly
The Problem is:
The CFG loader uses ios 249 to detect harddisk at startup, the configured ios 223 will only used when you start a game.
Uloader uses ios 223 for harddisk detection at startup. This is the difference. With ios 249 some hdd's will not be detected when a lan adapter or other usb device is plugged in.

@oggze: can you try a version with ios 223 on startup?

Feature Request for GUI-Mode:

- Cache covers on startup for faster viewing on paging the first time.
- Add page around function: On last page d-pad right jumps to first page, on first page d-pad left jumps to last page.
- Add favorite list/view and add per game option "add to favorites". Toggle normal and favorites with 2 button.

sorry if this has been covered already but I just started this today. I softmodded my wii with cios ver10
and I've got SD/USB loader 1.4 installed
problem is it wont recognize 2 of my 3 HDDs that I've tested on it
I formatted them and added the ISOs WFBS manager

when I try to access my 2 larger drives it just says there's no partition

the 2 bigger drives are a 300gb 3.5" IDE and a 320gb 2.5" SATA both obviously running through external docks

the one that it reads fine is a 60gb 2.5" sata

so what i'm wondering, is there some sort of limit on how large of a HDD is supported by this?

1. Version 1.4 from Waninkoko is outdated.
2. There has been a limit of 512GB. that issue has ben solved.

That is correct.
I will try and make a version that reloads ios before initializing the drive, or maybe make a separate binary that uses ios 223 by default, or both

Hi, I have a suggestion.:

config.txt added:
gui favourite = [0], 1

new file to be created: gui_favourite.txt

in the gui_favourite.txt contain:
fav1=RE123E
fav2=RE456P
fav3=RE789J
fav4=EXAMP
fav5=ETC0E

in gui mode, 2 big button to be created:
Left button is the Favourite button - contains the 5 games that is specified in gui_favourite.txt , with the 5 games gui layout.
Right button is the All Games button - contains all the games with the normal 10 games gui layout (this is just like the current gui mode)

I know
but no matter what I do I can't get 1.5 to show up in my HBC

Edit: does the brand of drive matter?
cuz to two drives that don't work are both WD drives while the one that does work is a seagate

cfg v31b: (beta)

To change gui style mode use button up when in 4 rows mode
or button down when in 1 row mode

- Fixes to IOS 222-mload/223-mload
- If custom IOS is specified, load it before storage device init
- Added game loading progress indication when using custom IOS

Same Here if I have something plugged in into usb1 Drive is not found.

Can you try the latest 31b version and add ios=223-mload (or ios=222-mload) to your config.txt
It will now use the specified ios before initializing the drive.

thanx a lot

I tried
SDUSB-Loader_cfg31a
Usb loader gx
Uniloader and always the same problem. [30 second to detect the hard disk and come back to HBC]

with Uloader, all works perfectly

Please try 31b and put ios=223-mload (or ios=222-mload) to your config.txt

When using GUI-mode the full screen is utilized, but in consolemode the lower lines (probably because of 576480). I'd like to use the fullscreen in console-mode as well if it can be fixed?

Love the new grid flow in GUI-mode, it should be the default or at least settable from config.txt or theme.txt and maybe make the sort order (left>right or top>bottom) configurable as well?

I'd also like the number of starting rows in GUI-mode to be settable in config.txt or theme.txt

Text-colors in GUI-mode should be settable in config.txt or theme.txt

When selecting game from GUI-mode it goes to console-mode, maybe a separate GUI-thing could be made for this?

When selecting game from GUI-mode and then cancelled by pressing B it goes to console mode instead of back to GUI-mode.

Maybe it's time to include a updated title.txt in the package?

Great work once again, oggzee!
