nice work!
oggzee, can you confirm this? no spindown issues anymore?
and how do you install the hermes 222/223? just read this but i dont understand because theres only 1 installer:
- Install IOS222 (IOS36 as default)
- Install IOS223 (IOS37 merge IOS36)
- Use USB-Port 0 for HDD
- Plug in the microphone before starting the Wii

can you also uninstall hermes 222 cios?

Personally I can't confirm what's the status with usb devices and hdd spindown, because
a) I don't own any additional usb devices
b) I don't have a hdd with a spindown problem

I just made it to work with hermes cios 222/223, now, please test it and report if it solves these issues.
I guess you can uninstall hermes cios 222 with anytitle deleter, but I haven't tried that.

yes it works great

stupid usb only lets me format to exFAT or NTFS for some strange reason.. cant use this great usb update.. grrr

Vista.. will only allow formatting fat32 partitions smaller than 32GB.
Note, the usb/fat support in the loader is only for covers and config, so a small partition like 200mb is probably enough.
For games you still need a WBFS partition. And for that you can create any kind of partition and then re-format it to wbfs in the loader.

oggzee, could you please include the source in the package, or send a link to me?
I haven't updated the loader on my Wii in a while (since your version 15 actually!) and the new GUI looks very nice... maybe in GUI mode it will be possible to display Japanese text?
The fat partition support is also great news, it should speed up the loading of covers, or any other support file I suppose

Hi ULCFG-Friends,

i've tested the following usb devices with 31a and 223 mload by Hermes:

- GH Micro
- Logitech Micro
- Wii Speak
- Logitech Wireless Wii Keyboard
- Discount USB Keyboard

All devices are working perfectly!

I've tested the following HDs with spin down problems:

- WD My Passport 160GB and 320GB

No spin downs with 223 mload!

!Vote for it at < http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=156949 >!

Now, ios=223-mload is my default setting ...

I know I saw this somewhere in this thread and would just like to say I too would be interested in the option of getting the cover pics from a fat32 partition. I have a small fat32 partition on my drive along with the WBFS one and have all the apps I use loading from there, including yours. Unfortunately since HBC doesn't seem to be able to find stuff on fat32 if it finds a SD card first, I normally run without the SD card. Your program runs great with the exception of not being able to find or save any of the support files. When you get a chance would love it if you could find time to remove the dependency on the SD card. Other than that I love all the great things you have done with your app.

Thanks,
~H~

But the 31a release should address just that.
If you're able to run the app from usb/fat (afaik you need HBC 1.0.2 for that) then it should work fine with loading covers and config directly from usb/fat.
Also you can also run it from SD and still use usb/fat by removing sd:/usb-loader/ and sd:/apps/USBLoader/config.txt, and leave just the sd:/apps/USBLoader/boot.dol and meta.xml
Have you tried this?

Nice.
1. Can we change the color of the text in GUI mode?
2. Can we set in config.txt or theme.txt how many lines we want 3,2,1 (covers)?
Edit
Maybe phase out the console mode entirely, and have a 100% gui version?

Maybe one day

Please don't for the loader to be truely configurable every change should always be made optional and no option should ever be removed

Help, I installed the way you have described IO222 then 36, IO223 37 to 36..Then when I go to load the game 223 mload it just says please wait and the game never loads...I have my hdd and my microphone plugged into the right ports..

awesome.. once i get to format it down to fat32.. im gonna jump it all onto the HD.. and it works perfectly... absolutely perfect loader...

weird mine does nothing at "Booting Wii game, ..." if I use 223-mload

I already follow this way to install hermes cIOS.
- Install IOS222 (IOS36 as default)
- Install IOS223 (IOS37 merge IOS36)

USB0 = the one near border, right ?

Used V30 for the first time today, ive never used the loader before, but color me impressed. Every game i tried worked and the cover system with the b button is just awesome. Really an outstanding job on everything. No requests here, just a thank you for your efforts.

Hi,

i am trying to install hermes IOS222 (IOS36 as default) and IOS223 (IOS37 merge IOS36).
IOS222 installs with no problem, but everytime i want to install IOS223 (IOS37 merge IOS36) it keeps giving me an error:
"failed to allocate buffer....."

My internet connection is working (USB LAN).
is there any way to install IOS223 (IOS37 merge IOS36) offline?
thank you.

I tried v31, loading config and covers from a FAT32 partition on the HD works great, fast scrolling, fast loading in the GUI.
I use one primary WBFS partition and one primary FAT32 partition (set to "active").

SM4.0u with Hermes 223 as default = crash
SM4.0u with Hermes 223 37 merge 36 = crash
SM4.0u with Hermes 223 60 merge 36 = crash , more tests coming soon
