Hacking Configurable USB Loader

is this the proper file name sdusb-loader_cfg35a.dol? should it be a rar or zip file? how is it used?

Just rename to boot.dol and run it in HBC like normal.

The new function from WiiPower - load alternate.dol from disc.
How do we use it?
We need all those dol to be burned (put into) a disc, then we enable the option, and loader will show all the alt.dol in the disc for us to choose???
So we need a disc to be in the dvd drive?
Someone create a iso with all the alt.dol quick plz! LOL!

No. Neogamma also works with discs which is why it uses that terminology. The new feature should work from the disc image on the hard drive too, I think. Basically, when choosing to run the game, the loader searches the image and finds all the .dol files and asks you which one to load, basically doing all the Wiiscrubber steps for you. At least that's what I've been led to believe.

Add the following lines at the end of the config.txt and make sure you are using v34 or v35a of the Loader

I think you have crushed the bug. Out of pure curiosity, what was the issue originally? Still, I'll continue to run it and beat it around abit and let you know if an issue arises!

Nice work as usual oggzee! Tested Red Steel with the new dol fix and it works perfectly. I did notice if you leave RS on the title screen the game will try to load the main.dol and will reset the Wii (so dont screw around and press the A button within 30 seconds lol)

I was originally planning on creating a channelized version of v34 final, but progress is at light speed and the introduction of v35a (with disc alt.dol support) is nothing to be snuffed at

So, here's v35a channelized. I went back to the blue...only because I think the orange/red just looks too evil...haha. Anyway, I plan on creating a whole new channel banner/theme soon instead of re-hashing the original channel work. Till then, enjoy the USBLoaderCFG v35a channel!

Agree. Forwarder is much better.

I do agree that the forwarder is something that is more convenient when it comes to the constant updates. I may just create a new forwarder down the road if the need for the channel declines. Still, I always liked the ability to not be dependent by an SD card on certain occasions by using an "on-nand" model...but I guess it might be just me and a select few at this point

I didnt make it but IMO its the best. Its a perfect replica of the disc channel but for usb loaders. This forwarder looks great side by side with the disc channel!



The one I included is a slightly modified version of the 1 in the video.

Just a word of advice to anyone installing channels: if you don't have brick protection, wait for confirmation from multiple users that the channel works fine - to avoid possible banner or other bricks.
