I recently had a damaged (cracked/broken) micro sd card, had loaded it into my computer not knowing it was broken.
eventually I had figured out that the sd card was broken and tossed it out
now my computer wont read ANY sd card through a usb reader or my internal reader.
the only way I have been able to boot an sd card on my computer is to put the micro sd card into my phone and connect it to my computer via usb then it'll load with the phone set as mass storage
I havent changed my computer in anyway to affect it to stop reading sd cards, I have also tried uninstalling/reinstalling my drivers for the usb readers and the internal reader
hopefully someone here can help me with this issue
