Well, I'm trying to reformat now, but.. There are problems.

What sort of problems? Usually it just involves backing up your important files, sticking in the dvd/cd disc and following the instructions from there.

Also, should I worry about connecting to my USB? Because I used a USB micro SD adapter and connect to the computer sometimes for homebrew related things. Would the virus have spread?

They can, but that's normally when it infects an .exe file, or something like a MS office file with embedded macros to deliver the viral payload that you have to activate by opening/running the file. Scanning the SD card with a virus scanner from the system once it's clean (or your sister's laptop) should be able to check it.

I'd also suggest that if possible, download firewall and antivirus installers on a USB drive (from your sister's comp). You then re-install windows offline, then install the firewall and antivirus programs before you connect windows online for it's updates.

If you really wanted to get fancy, you could do a process I think called 'slip-streaming' the windows updates into the windows install CD, creating a new installer CD with the service packs already installed and most updates running right at the start. I think you might even be able to set it to install the antivirus and firewall installers as well, but I didn't look that far into it, just having the service packs pre-loaded was enough to make me happy.

Ok, so the day I reformatted I went to speedtest.net, and it gave me downloads speeds of only 1.80MB and upload speeds of only .7MB.. Now today I just went back there and now I have a download speed of 17.43MB and an upload speed of 2.80MB. Also, the first day I reformatted Youtube videos were slow (websites worked just fine). Is it normal to go from a jump like that? Because I thought a computer would go faster right after everything has been cleared...

What is your internet speed meant to be rated at?

Could just be your internet. During peak times of the day it can slow down when more users are online. You do share a finite amount of bandwidth amongst other users in the same area, who are on the same isp. You should try it early in the morning, or late at night and see if there is any difference.
