My temperature

Funny thing is, my computer never shuts off on me.
How can one of your temperatures be -49? o.o
I was reading about the negative temperatures, and it seems to be a glitch.

Oh, ok. By the way why does your temperatures say Core 1 etc..

Last year I accidentally shut off one of the two processors in my GPU which obviously screwed stuff up and caused the one active processor to work its bollocks off when I ran a game. Wasn't sure why it was spazzing out on me after 5 mins playing so I ran a benchmark which showed me the FPS and temperature. My graphics card got up to 98C before my PC turned off.

After that it was new gfx card time, unsurprisingly.

I don't mean to hijack or derail but I just downloaded the SpeedFan thing and I was wondering mine doesn't say Temp anything.

Also, your temps are really-really bad since I'm in a non-airconditioned room in a pretty tropical country. (Usual temp is 30-32C)

EDIT:
afaik, removing the sidepanel messes up the air-flow more since air is both going in and out of the side and not following a path. But dunno really.

Whoa, I bought an extra fan with my PC (got it from Custom PC, meaning other people built it from scratch).
So I was kinda surprised when I booted up SpeedFan. Everything seems totally fine except Temp1 (not sure what that means though). Here's what I got at idle:

Temp1: 53C
Temp2: 37C
Temp3: 25C
HD0: 44C
Core: 34C

Anyone know what Temp1, 2 and 3 are? And I have a dual core, so why does only one core show?

Slightly worried though, as during an anti-virus scan with AVG, my Temp1 is anywhere between 62C and 68C, which is clearly quite dangerous. Meanwhile everything else runs at a great temperature.

Hm... :\

You told me you installed some tunic tower or some shit; I'm on stock cooling, because frankly I've had a computer run at 60c constant for over 5 years without issues.

Can someone please answer my question? :/ Is there any cons and pros with not having the sidepanel there?
It's just as Orc says; "removing the sidepanel messes up the air-flow more since air is both going in and out of the side and not following a path."

Also having the side panel off can lead to a quick build up of dust compared to leaving it on. This can contribute to heat building up.

From looking at your temps I think all you have to do is reseat your cpu and apply new thermal paste. As it's an old system the old paste may have dried up by now, or the heatsink got a little loose.
