I don't have TubeHax set up but I delete my connection settings whenever I'm not actively using my system. I can tell that I haven't been updated without my knowledge because I still have the TVii icon and software.
Wow, you're playing with fire. Don't ever turn on your wifi without TubeHax. You're asking for a background update. It happens all the time.

I have all the automatic download options turned off, and standby mode turned off. As far as I can tell the system doesn't try to update while I'm playing a game. It came close after I fell asleep one night without killing the connection settings but I succeeded in wiping the update. If I could figure out why the exploit consistently crashes, and get my retail games updated, I'd be back on track

..you had a close call?

Even with all those options turned on it will update in the background. Why don't you just leave TubeHax on?

Yeah, half the system update got downloaded. Managed to wipe it.

I'm having a rough time with router support to get blocking working properly. I probably could and should put more work into it, but being unable to get WUP Installer working again and play Splatoon is chafing badly enough as is.

If I didn't have a pile of games ready for loadiine and had just a bit less patience, I'd probably just take the update.

I don't block.on the router. I just leave the WiFi on the wii u on all the time and have tubehax enabled. It's worked thus far

stupid race attacked failed done it like 20 times after uploading more games.

If it doesn't work after three tries I pull the plug and try again.

Also I read somewhere that pressing x repeatedly (opening and shutting the curtains) while tapping the exploit can help success. I don't know if there is any truth to that.

i just restarted my xammp and it made it worked and now my boyfriend is playing Bayonetta 2

Tried a different SD card without success. Tried running the exploit without a sd card in at all and getting the same freezing. Is it possible the 5.5.1 spoof could have messed something up? I did do the spoof under the creditar website and while I got the Install OK message, the spoof did still install.

Okay follow these steps:

1. Turn on your wii u and go to your connections screen and edit your wifi settings.
2. Put this DNS address in the first field only. Leave the second blank:
107.211.140.065 (tubehax)
3. Save settings and exit to home menu.
4. Tap the eshop.

Error or no?

Everything else stays correct for the network and only dns gets changed?

Anything pc side needed for tubehax as well?

Just being careful

Here's a wierd thing too. This url works to load the exploit --->wj44.ml/osdriver/payload532.html. I get a pop up majority of the time asking for either normal or loadiine exploits, and the system successfully drops back to the home screen. But when I try to switch off to something else to load homebrew, those specific programs try to load their own version of the exploit and the system freezes. Is there a way I can get homebrew to launch after getting any exploit page working?

One more piece of new information. I tried launching wupinstaller from the local list and instead of freezing on the mii screen, it showed the curtain screen and then froze.

Could you try These two URLs:
Homebrew Launcher: http://wj44.ml/launcher/
Loadiine GX2: http://wj44.ml/loadiine_sd2/

nothing on the PC side needed and yes leave everything else automatic except DNS.

Awesome! I'm so happy to be playing Splatoon online again, and now I can try for getting loadiine working too. This has made my year. :D

Thanks to everyone who has helped me through this! I almost gave up hope.

I changed the HTML a little bit, to get it to work under different conditions. Other pages don't have it, because they never have merged my pull request.

One last question. Is there an easy way implement that code into a local hosting? Just in the off chance your site would ever go down.

Thanks again!
