Hardware competition pro charger problem

i have the duel competition pro battery charger/stand that plugs into the wii and has 3 green lights on the front. it also has the blue light and fan options.

i have no manual with it and have no idea when its charging the batteries!

will it charge when the console is off (red light) or only when the wii is on (green light) or standby (orange light)

or does it have to have the blue stand light and/or fan on to charge them?

I don't have the charger your talking about, but I do have a wireless nunchuck that charges thru a usb cable from the wii. When the wii is turned off it will not charge the nunchuck. When in standby it will charge the nunchuck. Can't say for sure but I'd say that your charger works the same way.

thats what i was thinking...although the lights on the unit itself always stay green either way. id asked because iv only just found out i can have connect24 switched to off to be able to turn my console off via the wiimote, but now iv done that i fear my wiimotes wont charge!
