You do need a printer that is compatible with the tray. They don't fit in just any Canon printer.

In my case I needed a new printer as my old had a failed firmware update and half the functions no longer work. I found an AIO Canon Pixma MX922 and a compatible j-tray for $120.

Sure, but not may printers are compatible with that (or at least not older printers, I don't know about printers manufactured within this decade)

Yeah, I know right? I cant resist, I had to buy it. High quality direct to card printing? Hell yes. I have been inquiring several US based manufacturers of NTAG cards to see if they have printable ones. I just cant stand the idea of buying from China and waiting up to 60 days for something so stupid and small.

Also, the cards I used said 888 bytes of memory and were not supposed to work, and I do think that 888 = 216. So I blatantly ordered some 216 tags to see what would happen, as I found a supplier in the US that has inkjet printable cards in 216 form.

I barely noticed the slightly better contrast because of the grey. I also went the AIO route and I think it was the only j-tray compatible AIO under $100.

EDIT:I am also partial on buying discontinued/unsupported devices.

He replied to me:

Ahahhah. Now it's offering me a fee. He's crazy! I will report him again with his message.

The cards you bought were probably actually NTAG215s. There is a listing on Amazon for NFC cards that are listed as NTAG215 cards, but the description says they have 888 bytes of space. That's an error, they really are NTAG215 cards.

I'm gonna guess that you just have to open the data in a hex editor and manually fill the rest with 0s

That's exactly what I had a dream about, (and my dreams are usually right) So, that's what I intend to do. Another problem though is... I don't think tagmo will work for writing to the tag. I might have to search around for something like that.

Hey, @TiMeBoMb4u2, I have a request. You see there's Robin and Corrin as "dual sex" characters. Based on this image: View attachment 40097 And this image:View attachment 40098 Do you think we can make cards that feature BOTH of them on it at the same time? Currently I have two images for both characters but there is only one .bin for them to share. (maybe that will change in the future)

Here are the Corrin and Robin duos, as requested. I also noticed some cards, in this whole thread, that had some transparency issue. Two of them, Little Mac and Dark Pit, I have re-created.
