I am going to upgrade my micro sd card for my acekard 2i and i was wondering if anyone knows if the new samsung ultra and the sdhc plus cards are compatible. is there a type of card that is the best for the acekard 2i.

thanks

Samung is a great brand, as for a type of card that is best for the acekard, then i would suggest a microSD which has a Class rating of 6.

I use Transcend Class 6 and have no issues with freezing or slowdowns.

Compatibility's not really an issue with flash carts anymore (if it's a properly-functioning MicroSD/HC it'll work), the concern is the read speed (since carts need a lot more of it than most things). This means you should aim for a card that's built better, this usually mean a class-4 or class-6 (opposed to a cheaper class-2).

Suggested brands are usually Sandisk, Transcend, and A-Data.

So your saying that the read speed depends on class types not the capacity size? How can you determine the class? I have a 4GB Kingston micro SD card running on a DSTTi and it takes a minute for most games to load.

Class determines the write speed, but higher-class cards are generally made better and that means better read speeds too. Capacity's not really linked anymore.

Look at the MicroSD, the number inside the circle (2/4/6/8/10) is the class.

I use Sandisk and have had little issue with them. Kingston's seem to wear out after a short time and have issues - I have replaced three of them in the last couple of years and do not buy them any more.
