Gaming Code list will not update?

Hi!

Here's the thing, I'm using an R4 Revolution card, and I'm following every step in every guide I can find... but for some reason, the code list won't update (example: I add codes for SMT: Strange Journey to the DAT. I save it. Replace it. Turn the DS on, but the game doesn't list the possibility of using cheats). Can anyone help me out?

use wood r4. replace your firmware

should work. just use usercheat.dat and replace cheat.dat

go to settings. turn cheats on.
