The Wii U's been out for ~2 years now, you'd think they'd have one out ALREADY. People are trying to put 2 and 2 together with the browser exploit and ODEs when in reality they probably started working on it at launch.

They are putting 2+2 together because you need to obtain the drive key of your Wii-U through software methods, if it's the browser exploit or however i do not know but it's not a straight drive hack like the early 360 hacks, people more qualified than me say it's more like PS3 in that it needs a certain level of code execution to pull the unique drive key before an ODE method can be useful. Remember how long ago WiiUkey said they were ready?

See there was a pic posted over @ maxconsole that showed an app running that dumped the keys....land it makes some sense. I just wish the ODE groups would give us some idication saying 'its safe to update' or 'don't update past 5.1'.

It just reminds me of the 3DS in that the scene devs were saying don't update past 4.5 but GW never said a thing while pre-orders were underway. So I would say if you pre-ordered a wiiukey or want to use an ODE then don't update because that may close the door to getting your drive keys.
