Fonts are bad, I know

But I'm not so good at font drawning.

DCC is not for downloading ROMs. It's just for... ah... It's just cool! =D

You should add a pictureviewer for dcc pictures. And a mediaplayer for .mp3 .
....and a fridge, when i'm hungry .

Whats the prob with the fonts?
Looks kinda OK to me.

I don't like the font ... dsorganize has a better on screen keyboard (it's faster to type too) ... but there is no # ... so I can't join any channel

Just add the #, even though my pda does this automatically.

Very nice early release. In a future release it would be nice to just tap the menu button to bring it up, instead of having to hold it. I'm still liking the layout of IRCDS more.

Yes the font is not very beautiful, but it's ok.
However, there is no "accents"... and it's bââââd.

Yes i'm french, i love é,è,à,ô

It could be great to fix it

Holy lord of the crap, I don't have words to describe this.
Comparing this to DSO-IRC is like comparing mIRC to PJIRC.
CLUSTER, YOU ARE MY GOD.

Now, over to the raw facts:
The DCC speed was slow, but that's common for the DS. 9.91 kb/s for a 3.6 MB mp3 file.
The mp3 played fine in moonshell, so DCC file transfer works great (so far).

I was actually thinking of making my own IRC client for DS, because the others sucked, but I couldn't be arsed.
Even if I made one, I'd never be patient enough to implement the DCC send/chat protocol, since I don't know how it works (yet). I know most of the IRC protocol though.

Just tried it out. Talked to custer himself on IRC. Don't know if it was really him or an impersonator but whoever that was he was REALLY nice.

Great program IMO and I applaud him for it. The best thing are the penguins though which I asked him and he said his girlfriend drew them.

Great penguins. They add to the greatness of this awesome program.

Been using this for an hour now, really nicely done program. It's definitely the most complete IRC client for DS yet. Just wish you could change the font, as the default is missing many special characters, and I'd love a fixed width font.

Other than that, everything is truly ace! Looking forward to future releases.

You can help to draw font

There is source picture (I hope my server is working ok now):

I like fixed width fonts too. I tryed them, but screen of DS is too small

One line (256 pixels) can contain only 32 letters with 8 pixels width. It's not so many...

Yes, it was me

After using this for a while I can say that it is very stable and doesn't freeze or anything like that, even when I requested the whole channel list for efnet it worked perfectly and didn't run out of memory or anything. All the features work like they should. The only thing that annoys me is the "HEY!" sound. It would be a lot better if it was a regular beep, the constant "HEY" is like Navi, or worse. It should have been loaded externally from FAT, that way I could replace it with any sound I wanted.

I have no complaints about the font on the top screen, it looks nice, fixed width is not really useful for anything other than ASCII art. If the DS screen was bigger, I'd prefer a font similar to fixedsys - but with the size of the DS screen, this is the best option. The font looks nice too, a lot better than the font where you type - You should change that to use the same as the top screen font.

IMO the only thing it lacks now is proper bold.

Lower screen uses tiled mode and font is PAlib default. It's hard to make proper bold becouse letters are too small. I wanted to do selection of hightlight sound, but there are so many different sound formats and codecs... Maybe I will make support for RAW sounds or PCM WAV... or MP3? :)
I will replace russian letters with accents in english version (for french users), but I will not make accents input.
So I have big plans, but not so many time :)

Sorry for my english, it's bad as always.

Hey Cluster! i came on irc earlier as Orrin or something, sorry i got disconnected twrice >_<

once i play around with the app a bit more i can give some more constructive criticism, but it seems really nice for now (Apart from the fonts)

Not all aspects were completely intuitive though.

Is there a function to recover previously written lines (like "up" button in mIRC) ?

Thanks
