hi guys, I just saw this product on ebay, and I am quite interested to buy it. I currently have a gamecube controller, wii classic controller (3rd party, hooked on the wiimote)

I want to buy another controller so I can play my wii with my sister

This is obviously a third party controller. but is it compatible with the homebrews? a while ago my wii crashed a lot because I used the third party wii classic controller

it...

Huh. A classic controller with a Gamecube port.

Why?

...

Anyhoo it should be recognized as a gamecube controller, so any homebrews that recognize gamecube controller should work with it.

Just, you know, without analog trigger support.

maybe for people who want to play with emulators with a controller that resembles snes controller.

anyone ever bought this before? I am bit cautious to buy third party controller since it makes the wii very unstable :(

I thought I could play wii emulators with wii classic controller pro only, but the delay is killing me.

not sure whether third party controller will cause instability if plugged on gamecube ports.

Why not just get a Nintendo CC? It's likely that one isn't going to work right with Gamecube loaders or Wii games with it plugging into a GC port.

I got a genuine gamecube controller, it's actually to save cost for me. the price is rather steep (although it's really worth it).

also, I feel gamecube buttons are a bit weird. I have re-mapped the keys when playing SNES emulator, and I probably will be more comfortable with something that resembles the old super nintendo controller

I heard 3rd party controllers have problems such as hit-and-miss even though they cost cheap so it's better to buy authentic controllers. They may cost more money but they're reilable. I have 3 classic controllers. One is the Classic Controller Pro Black Version, one is the Pro White Version and the other is the Original Classic Controller and it's White. They're all genuine. I also have an official Gamecube Controller and it's Platinum. Bought it in 2005 and it works like a charm!!

I saw that controller on ali a few years ago, i regret i didn't buy a pair because they would be perfect to use with the gameboy player on gc due almost no existence of contollers for that purpose except the hori that cost to much, sadly i can not find this controller any more :(

Why would you want to buy that? 3rd party controllers stop working after like a week, plus it has a GC controller plug, just use your existing GC controller. Besides very few games are compatible with the classic controller, and you'd need a Wiimote to use them anyway.

I use a Classic Controller just like this for my Wii that has NO gamecube ports. It works well with my gamecube games. It plugs into the Wiimote. Note, DO NOT plug it into the Wiimote until the game requests it, otherwise USB Loader GX crashes :( Just plug it in right after loading the game

Cost isn't really the problem, I can just buy a random monitor or even just use an old tv, real problem is that my desk is too small

Buy monitor wall mounts, or a monitor stand that holds multiple monitors
  • _Ruri_ @ _Ruri_:
@BigOnYa Can't wall mount the monitor since I don't have enough space and my current desk 99% wouldn't hold the weight. Even if I did replace the desk I still wouldn't have more space for another monitor :/ but maybe it could fit vertically
    +1
  • _Ruri_ @ _Ruri_:
@Skelletonike, Tried it with my iPad and it's decent but not as good as a proper monitor unfortunately, and Windows -> iOS connection kinda sucks, if I have to spend money for another tablet then I'd prefer to spend them for a proper monitor tbh
  • _Ruri_ @ _Ruri_:
Even if I can wall mount the monitor I wouldn't have enough space for the speakers (and they take like ~25% of the desk space lol)
