Not to be a douche or anything, but you don't have to be a world renowned director to think a movie is bad, or a world class chef to know some food taste likes shit. He tried to take the easy way into handling the situation, there's nothing wrong with that. He wanted to see if he didn't have to write a boring old ROP chain which is basically what anyone else would do. Why spend so much time doing something the hard way then look for other opportunities?
