Homebrew Clarification Thread - What is going on?

there is about as much hype here as the 5.5.0 Wii U IOSU exploit, so much that a single commit gets people super excited. I don't see this ending well in a way.

How do I update HBL? Replacing boot.3dsx with the new one is enough?
I believe I need a fairly recent version to run all those exploits?

Organizing and cleaning up should mean that they've got a crude but somewhat working (with a few hiccups) hax and they're trying to clean up and fix the hiccups while making sure what the program needs to do gets done without adding anymore hiccups that already is there.

Kind of interesting that I am blasfeming the day I updated my iPad to 9.2- as now I can't jailbreak it- and I am also eyeing this release, just to downgrade my n3ds to 9.2 and "jailbreak" it.... Hehehe

You won't need CIAs. @Adrien835 is making you the safe packs you will have to download when they'll get released. This is the only kind of downgrade packs KernelTimeMachine will take.

When you have hundreds of new users suddenly using a downgrader to write actual things on their sysNAND, sysUpdater (even if it's a great piece of software don't take me wrong), won't be enough to contain the stupidness.
