Too hard to give an ETA since good devs come and go and break throughs and slows spells, sorry.

Thanks. Another question, is my spec good enough for Citra in stable version later to get 60fps speed or do I need to upgrade it? my CPU is Intel i5-3470 3.2 ghz and my GPU is AMD R9 270x GDDR5-2GB. It's for Fire Emblem, Etrian Oddysey, and Persona kind of game, not Monster Hunter and such. If my spec is not powerful enough, maybe I should just buy a 3DS XL with gateway (About $200). What do you think? If my spec powerful enough, then I will wait for Citra even if it will take forever (I just hope my cpu/gpu can last until it's released)

Who knows, 3DS is shit so it shouldn't be a problem to be emulated even on a toaster.

Why it's a shit? It's because Desmume for DS games is a bit demanding, so I thought 3DS emulator will demand much more power too. Or is it a joke? Sorry if I don't get it :/

Well, anyway let's back to topic. Is my spec is powerful enough for stable version of Citra later?
It is definitely powerful enough. Give the emulator about 4-5 more months and this emulator should be in a pretty decent playability rate (granted if the make a recompiler)

Thanks, it's mean I don't have to waste $200 to buy a 3DS (prefer to save it for something that more useful :))
Oh yeah, I forgot to say this but good luck for every member of the team! Citra (And RPCS3) really is the most anticipated project for me. Thanks for the hard works!

YESssssssssssssssssssssssssssss thank you soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo muchhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

So basically people can afford latest 16 core intel processors but not a used 3ds? I mean cheers for great coding. Can someone explain emulator hype please?
I'm personally excited for debugging things which is way easier from an emulator, but most people just want to tout their PCMR horns and steal 3DS games because they're too cheap to just buy a 3DS and a Pokemon game.

Play games in proper resolution ?

Just look at what dolphin did to Xenoblade with texture hacks and proper res. From nice looking game made it amazing looking game.

Personally i can't wait for MH4U with proper res. I love it on n3ds (with its improvements) but resolution really does make it look worse that it is.

Last edited by perkel,
very excited for this. resolution changes uncovered just how refined some games were (even) on the original DS. Metroid Prime: Hunters is my favorite example:

hopefully as i progress in my CS studies, i'll be confident enough to lend a hand in development. :p1ng:
