I tried to open a .3ds file with Citra's latest qt build and it crashed. I was wondering whether Citra crashed because I tried to open a .3ds file. This was the first line from the window that appeared after Citra crashed:
[ 9.701323] HW.Memory <Error> core\mem_map_funcs.cpp:Memory::Read:99: unknown
Read32 @ 0x00000C98

The "C98" part increases by 4 each time until it reaches EEC. When C98 becomes D70, [ 9.701323] changes to [ 9.826328].
I want to know what caused the crash. More specifically, I want to know whether imy PC's hardware limitations caused the crash.
Sorry for the poor "presentation"!

Citra's decryption instructions:

EDIT: Video and instructions depict two different methods. Choose the one you like best. You need either a 3DS with firmware 7.x or lower or xorpads for the game you want to decrypt.

Just for clarifications:
1. Do I need a 3DS to decrypt a rom if I have that rom AND the xorpad files for that rom?
2. If I have managed to decrypt a rom, how do I use that? Do I have to use the romfs.bin or is there anything else to do?

Citra can run SMT:Soul Hackers, after removing *.moflex videos.

how can you decrypt roms for citra if you cant get xorpads?

I dont have a 3ds that is under 9.2

You need one or the other to decrypt ROM images unfortunately. Google the XORPads for your specific game- you'll find them eventually. Hopefully neobrain will make Citra compatible with encrypted ROMs in the future, so this will be a non-issue.
