So how do I get Animal Crossing working again? I have the original disc for it. It's the only game my wife plays, she's gonna kill me if I don't get it working again.

Everything else works great though.

Here's my system:

Wii Menu 4.0U (using Waninkoko's Firmware updater)
cIOS rev 13b
cIOSCORP 3.1
Bootmii installed (and I backed up NAND before installing cIOSCORP)

Can I just download the original IOS for Animal Crossing to fix it? If so, what IOS does Animal Crossing: City Folk (NTSC-U) use?

Deozaan, yeah you just need install IOS 38 if your using a retail disc the one on the disc should work fine (search how to extract them) or for backups grab the original CIOSCORP version

Hello, I just signed up here, but have used this forum and it's really great users posts for many different helps related to my Softmodded Wii. I've been in the scene ever since you could only play like Tetris on the Wii w/ the Twilight Hack. Haha. XD

Anyways, I went to install this new cIOScorp 3.1 and on the 3rd to last file it installs I get error -1 and the last 2 it tries to install I get error -1017. By the looks of it, these 3 files have to do with the mIOS. And, btw, I have Preloader 0.29 (with the Sys Menu IOS set to 60 and no region-free hacks turned on), BootMii, and System Menu 4.1 (via waninkoko's updater). I also previously had the original cIOSCorp installed before I tried this one and it worked, but not as well as I would've liked it to, which is why I tried to upgrade to this new version. I also have Wanin's cIOS 38 Rev 14.

Anyone have any ideas as to why this might be happening?

Maybe a corrupt file? Having the old cioscorp shouldn't be a problem because it worked for me but I'm on 3.2u so idk

Hmm, I was wondering that myself that maybe it didn't download all the way and got corrupted. I guess i'll redownload and try again.

In the meantime, any other suggestions?

My SSBB (DVD9 dump) works fine.

Testers reported that the Ghostbusters fix doesn't work, but I've made a new fix that _SHOULD_ work. I just need testers, especially LU64 users. The test only modifies IOS53, so it should be safe to do. PM me if you want to test the new Ghostbusters fix (especially if your wii is an LU64+ or equivalent).

Well, I just tried re-downloading and re-installing, and just like I figured... I still get those errors.
Any ideas why? This is really bugging me.

to burn SSBB:
1] obtain the .iso
2] download and install imgburn
3] go to tools>settings>write tab and set the layer to "user specified" and type in "2084960".
4] burn the .iso at 4x with your dl media.
5] after about 25 minutes it should be done.

Not sure what is giving you error -1017, but as for error -1, make sure the file is on the SD card. If it is, free up a heap of room on the SD card, then recopy the files over and install.

I had this problem ages ago with wad manager, so I freed up space and it just worked.

I was actually just wondering that myself, b/c my SD Card is almost totally full. I will definitely try that.



EDIT: STILL not working... *sigh* Still have those same errors even after freeing up like over 300MB of space on my 2GB SD Card.. Well, at least everything still seems to be working perfectly, though. Still reading both Wii and GC games from the Disc Channel. So... I guess it worked? lol.

Bootmii shouldn't affect disc loading, and what hacks did you use on preloader??

A little more information would be awesome. OMG Help isn't very useful.

Do they load in NeoGamma? Assuming you "think" you installed it right.. dabble in preloader's options. What IOS is preloader loading? (60 still? try 249) What hacks are you using?
