Never the less digity is right bp2000

if you had followed the hole thread and read the comments from the creators you would know that they didnt want a guide been made for this.

it was a total no go, especially by some one who was not involved in the project.
ya i know but wiiblaster also made a guide on a different website and i thought that they didnt want a guide when it evolved patching ios249
Yes on another site that doesn't have every noob to the scene trying every guide they see. He was directly involved with this and has alot of experience There were good reasons a guide wasnt posted here and we were making everyone read through the whole 40 some odd pages.
ok sorry i thought i was doing a good thing

well i look at it like this, I helped create it, I'm not sure if a guide should have been made, But the information is already out there, There should at least be a thread, made for people to successfully do it, I myself made a thread on a different site, Do i not have this right, I like to think i do, On my thread i fully explained everything to the best of my ability.

But i will tell you this, if used correctly you wont brick, if a noob gets confused like someone did in my thread they will brick,

To be honest, I really wish this would not have been released but it is, Atleast try to make a good thread for it, and completely explain everything and the risk

Wiiblaster no problems with you, im sure your thread had detailed info. Its this particular guide i had a issue with. but now that the cats out of the bag so to speak, I'll start my detailed walkthrough to add to the faq wiki. I need to work on that thing some more anyway

i updated my thread and cleary state to vist the oringinal thread first hope that is better

I tell people this, sense i do agree that that this should not have been released, I'm going to remove my thread, immediately, and kill the download links, Not because everyone wants me to but because i agree and i dont support it

Why is everyone hesitant to try, Starfall is pretty popular and it modifies the IOS, if worse comes to be you can always use the downgrader to go to 3.3 and it'll replace the system files.

You can always install the original IOS from the NAND dump

I was being a smart ass hence the lol. Wasnt picking that time im done picking, now i'm just going to help you get the original post right.

So add
That this only plays backups for your region, out of region games if patched will play assuming they support your video mode.
That you should do a NAND dump, this way worse case senario you can get an infectus and restore your system
That this still plays original disks at 6x
That this allows loading any autoboot disk.
Add info on going back to original IOS, (hence NAND dump being important) Mention if NAND wasnt done IOS can be pulled from game disks.
Remove the Patch 002 line.
Add a note that updating to 3.3 or 3.4 will restore all IOS to bug fixed ones, and require restoring the signing bug all over again
Add a note not to upgrade to anything above 3.4 as we don't know what will happen once the next update comes out. upgrading from 3.2 to 3.3 and 3.4 has been tested safely.
Give credit to Waninkoko as he originally created the CIOS DIP module and help Wiigator with his
Include links to the region patching compatability lists

i got it on there right but thanks

okay i've been following the thread and i read most of the wiisoo thread but im still confused on how to remove this software IF i decide to install it, i havent and most likely wont install this

in the wiiso thread he links to the install package with a bunch of cIOS wads right, and the uninstall package is another set of wads but this time they are IOS's which im guessing you install to overwrite the cIOS's from the first package?
and what some people are doing is taking the second package and trying to uninstall that which is essentially doing what the thread says not to, uninstalling a bunch of IOS's, including the oh so precious IOS36?

so more simply:
to install i use the the first package with the cIOS's and install all those wads.

to uninstall i use the second package with IOS's and install all those wads?
or would i have to do a full system update to 3.3 in order to remove it?

you could install the unistall wads remember install or you could update to 3.3 using cios downgrader than downgrade again to 3.2

so that is a safe way to uninstall this, instead of having to do a full update like some have said?

bp2000: but updating to 3.3 when its not necessary seems....redundant

let me put this question in a different manner:

what would be the BEST method of uninstalling this?

If you dumped your nand as is required in the other thread you'll have all your original IOS's you can pack into wads and just install over the custom ones, bringing you back to where you were before doing this

edit: thanks 20clarky08, bp2000 and digitydogs for the input

i see why this shouldnt have been released, lots of people will not ask questions first. only after they brick :/
good luck having the patience to deal with them, i think im lucky that i was one of the first to ask some questions(in this thread at least) because pretty soon im sure you guys will get tired of answering the same questions...
thanks again
