You do know that someone has already bricked a wii messing with this though dont u ? (that being said - he deleted all his ios's - so it wasnt a problem with this system) be prepared for abuse if someone else does it.

I bet he uninstalled those IOS through WadManager, since those IOS replace critic system IOS, he lost practically the Wii OS.

No he used any title deleter because he wanted to format his wii and start again ..... he shouldnt be allowed turn on a wii , not to mind use apps not created for native running on it.

As for this system - i wont be installing it either as future updates could cause way too much trouble - ill wait for Forsaken to release something with a new server for any new updates - if cSM comes along ill try that one.

I wont be taking away from the great work done by the lads though - much respect to them for figuring this out and getting it working - well done

Actually he did use Wad Manager to uninstall the CIOS's he uninstalled everyone, Meaning he also uninstalled his IOS30 which his system menu run off of, He did tell me he was under warranty though so i guess all is good

I noticed that this needs the discs patched for 002 errors i was wondering what the results were on same region 002 backups as with my chipped wii i only get 002 errors using the old loaders and not from disc channel.

On the guide I'm drawing up guys, I'm thinking about going ahead and just making 3.2 and starfall a requirement. There just isn't enough feedback on 3.3 and 3.4 to call them safe in any way for this without the data. Everybody agree requirements should include 3.2/Starfall ?

EDIT: Whoa, looks like first post is getting updated. I'll Stop.

Yeah, I though so too, since AnyTitleDeleter doesn't allow you make stupid things like ''delete by accident'' system critic IOS.

ahh ok, thought it was just menu patcher in a wad looking pretty. is it such a good idea to be patching all the IOS systems at the moment with cIOS? i mean, nintendo might just do hash checks on the IOS know there fake. and just allow you to play new games, or worse brick your wii.

Nintendo IOS are pretty closed, they work on the base that no external input will mess with them exept for Nintendo's own IOS, that's because there no recovery system within them. Waninkoko ''custom'' makes sense here, since they work like separate IOS, independient from Nintendo's one.

Im assuming you did it the same way its done in cSM, not very difficult...but kudos for releasing it to the public. It's always nice to see more people giving to the community.

This has been implemented in cSM for months, so people using this won't have to get used to anything different come my release. Provided we did it the same way.

Fors

EDIT actually from what I read we did do it differently and I dont think you went about it the best of ways.

So, should we all try this out?, is this better than gamma or 0.3? are we safe with starfall?
rewriting the original system menu seems risky to me, is there a way to go back if i dont like it?
