not likely, i think we'll see 3.5+ shutting some serious doors in the future..they just arent gonna accept this type of mass piracy, the loaders where one thing, you needed to play with them, they werent very "install and forget" or child friendly this is a different story this is basically like having a modchip only for the read speeds.

Distributing a huge load of cIOS files is hardly the best solution. A lengthier, legal tutorial on how to perform the patches yourself would be more beneficial to others.

I think you could be right about Ninty though - they have the ability to stop this with one update and to force 100's if not 1000's of people to send their wii's back for a chargable fix - This is a very easy way for them to hit back.

This is the main reason im waiting for cSM - updates will come from a different server if required and they will be guaranteed to be safe - its a better option in my opinion.

We're all waiting for CSM, but when Fors went away for a month people got bored and started experimenting. And this is the result of hackers needing something to keep their brains working during a boring period. I'm not so sure ANYBODY thought it would go so far so quick. Wasn't it just a week ago that Nobody had any of the official IOS numbers patched? And I don't know if anybody had System Menu patched to a different IOS either.

Why is everyone hesitant to try, Starfall is pretty popular and it modifies the IOS, if worse comes to be you can always use the downgrader to go to 3.3 and it'll replace the system files.

but seriously..i just dont see Nintendo standing for this, if anyone has watched the whole of the 25th C3 vid even Marcan and Bushing stated the Wii is a very well designed system to a point, and i think the way you have to update to play certain games, and certain games need a certain IOS's will either turn out to be a very clever move or the absolute FAIL. only time will tell.

but i totally agree with DJ that cSM sounds like a nice total solution if we can get the Wii to update with our own updates PSP-Stylee then were onto a winner.

so in the first post he metions that it doesnt fix the 002 error - then why does NFSU work just fine 1:1 for me? I know i havent done the fix on the disc.

I've been using this for a few days now and im really impressed - it works great. 3.2 starfalled, of course.

they can't force update if you're on 3.2 and have wiiconect turened off....

The only time I will update is when wiimotion plus comes out.

Jizmo mate i cant believe how far this thing has come i was reading the thread for a few days and then all of a sudden outta no where BANG, Disc Channel Loading...

@ bp2000 -- ninty cant force you to update on 3.3v2 and under, apparently when you update to 3.4 the EULA is changed and its updating automatically now..but not to sure mate.
