Ye... should have been "for newcomers" since everyone is new to things the first time around.

Q: What are the requirements for CIOSCORP?
A: Have a working Wii that allows you to install WADs.

Q: If my Wii becomes "bricked", how can I "unbrick" it?
A: By flashing BootMii on with a NAND Programmer or an infectus.

Q: How can I backup my original IOS's?
A: Use a FS Dumper on your Wii, repack titles with a WAD Packer.

Q: If I'm installing CIOSCORP using the CIOSCORP Installer, what is the step-by-step process?
A: Put CIOSCORP WADs in /cioscorp and run the installer.

Q: If I'm installing CIOSCORP using the WAD Manager, what is the step-by-step process?
A: Install all the CIOSCORP WADs.

If I do brick my Wii by using the cIOSCorp installation, can I recover it with Bootmii on boot2 if i have NAND backup.

i used this, and get error 32017 whenever i try to do a wii system update. i used a down grader to downgrade the IOS stuff back to 3.2 so I could use CIOSCORP, ran it, and now I get an error when I try to update. The Wii menu is still the newest one, but when I try to play a game like SSB Brawl, it told me to update. It did a quick update, but I can't update overall. What do I do?

Thats what I find stupid about cioscorp. The only ones who can safely install it are those who already know quite a bit about how it works. These peple will probably also know how to configure other loaders properly, and therefore dont really need it.

I purchased a 2nd hand wii and it runs my backup DVD-R's discs directly from the disc channel
I was told it had a modchip but the seller was unsure (don't ask me why)
Is there an EASY way to tell if CIOSCORP was installed instead of a hardware chip?

run the hackmii installer, then view the installer log it puts on your sd card, you can post that info on here and then anyone can tell you if its installed
