you need to know what number the drive is.
You can find it in Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Disk Management
diskmanagement.jpg

In my case it is disc 3. I know that because it is shown as an unknown (Or Failed) partition and it is 37.27GB which is how big I know that disc to be.

Hmm, still having some trouble though.

G:\>wbfs add Brawl.iso
using /dev/sdd
adding RSBE01 Super Smash Bros. Brawl...
error writing disc: Input/Output error

I tried a second time and watched closely. The error happened at 70.99%

Yes i know in my case it´s 1 (and the third partition)
but it always shows me the same
cannot find any wbfs partition (verify permissions)): No such file or directory

G:\>wbfs
Adaptado a windows por _JL_
Usage: wbfs [-d disk|-p partition]
ls
df
mkhbc
init
add (file|id)
rm (file|id)
extract (file|id)

So you need to use wbfs -d 1 -p 3 don't you?

Looks like my Input/Output error was because the power cord on my enclosure was lose and it lost power for a moment.
I tried one more time and this time it worked!

G:\>wbfs add Brawl.iso
using /dev/sdc
adding RSBE01 Super Smash Bros. Brawl...
Done in 0:07:21

Now to test it out...

Thought the same but same problem.
Hmm possibly something with my Partition is wrong
under Acronis disk director the Partition is shown as FS: None - Partition 0xc (FAT32 LBA)
i thnik this FAT32 shouldn´t be there

Well Brawl is working very nicely for me now. I'm very pleased with this windows installer.
Many thanks to _JL_ for compiling it for us.

nIxx, does the partition work properly in USB Loader on the Wii? Can you install and play games there?

I haven't used this new delta version, so I'm not 100% sure, but I'd say that when the usage mentions that means file name OR id.

So you should probably use something like this:
wbfs_win.exe H add G:\ISOs\Wii\Guitar Hero World Tour.iso

And for removing, you'll probably want:
wbfs_win.exe H remove RUUE01

Seems a bit counter-intuative to use drive letters though when the WBFS partition is not windows-readable and thus can't be assigned a drive letter...

Looks like the syntax you need is:
wbfs_win H add G:\ISOs\Wii\Guitar Hero World Tour.iso

and if it doesn't like the spaces, then I'd say rename Guitar Hero World Tour.iso to something like GHWT.iso and then use
wbfs_win H add G:\ISOs\Wii\GHWT.iso

In the usage info, where it says that means file name OR game id. You don't need to enter both, and you don't need to enter the triangle brackets or the pipe.

To remove animal crossing I think it would be
wbfs_win H remove RUUE01

You can also put the file name in quotes...

wbfs_win H add "G:\ISOs\Wii\Guitar Hero World Tour.iso"

At least that way you don't have to change all your games.

hey man, what sort of drive are you using with the wbfs tool? I have a Seagate 300GB, the tool works great until I try to actually transfer an ISO at which point I get "error seeking in disc file: Invalid argument", every single ISO I've tried. I see others getting it too, just wondering if there's a pattern... Ripping using the loader itself seems to work fine.
I'm getting that error too.

Hello ,
I'm getting that error too.

Did anyone find an issue ?

thanks

It happens very often, only one ISO (from 5!) has been write correctly...

There's a problem with the binary in the first post. There's another one posted in this thread somewhere... or you can always compile your own from the source.
