For the network install, do you have to have a wireless connection?

I have a wired connection using the Nintendo LAN adapter, and trying to install cIOS rev 17 with network installation results in an error.
Says something along the lines of "An Exception Occurred (DSI)...." Then lots of stings of numbers.

The Wii is 4.0, and it currently has cIOS rev 10 installed. I have Bootmii installed as Boot2 as well and a backup of my NAND handy.

Thanks in advance.

dont think i works with the lan adapter

just do the offline install

u just need to grab IOS38 from NUSD (i think it takes the most recent version, but read the READ ME, and it will tell u what wad u need saved in the root of the sd card and what it should be named)

so how is rev 17 doing for people who has installed it?
any noticable differences or compatability issues?

well ther must be some differences/improvements one small thing i noticed was the pad no longer goes in to standby mode
when left untouched for a few min
but i cant really see any improvements they must be so minor that you dont notice them??

Have you tried backing up a burnt disc using rev 17 ??
I installed it and it worked great until i tried to back up a disc and that failed so i reverted back - 15 works fine for everything i want it to do so im sticking with that for now , but i do agree that 17 is pretty good.

When i try to install rev 17 with network i get error -2011, i am trying to use base 38 like suggested on the install page. It is installed on ios249 does this make a difference.

NVM decided to go with rev 19 and figured out what it was. Sorry for a wasted post.
