Installed this on a latest version (whatever that is) NTSC wii using wad installer 2.1 twice, it installs both times, the banner comes up fine, but then it goes straight black and the game doesn't start. Where do I fail?

Presumably, yes. They are PAL WADs.

If you need the graphic work done, I can help. I do photoshop for a living, and would love to help out with this... I can't do the injecting, or anything like that, but can help with images, and such!

I tried running it through freethewads and setting it as NTSC-U, same result.

Freethewads then inject the file again using autoinject. Don't know if that will work but it's worth a try.

No worries man, I wasn't trying to sound like I was snapping, I was genuinely asking in case I had the facts wrong.

My gut feeling, if this is the case for everyone, that we'll just need to do banner/saves for NTSC versions of all of these.

I'd love a NTSC release of banner'd Chrono Trigger (and a bunch of other games like SoM/FF4-6/MMX.)

The REALLY bad thing about the SNES9x wii emulator to me is that it isn't Progressive Scan. That makes the games have horrible button lag on my HDTV and look super blurry (on my HDTV) compared to the injected channels.

That's why I love not having an HDTV. I don't see the appeal to HDTV, just give me a decent sized TV and it all looks the same to me. Plus I don't have to worry about stuff not being progressive scan!

What? How do you not see a difference?! There is a big difference between 480p and 720p. Have you ever even put HD content on an HDTV?

i maked a new version with correct Icon/SaveIcon and used a new pic, some screens:

You can brick with a bad banner. So if the tools are out now Its only a matter of time till someone makes one that will brick your wii. yay!!

You can't brick your with and incorrect banner, when there is an error, it shows only a black banner.

That's EXACTLY how I pictured Chrono Trigger if I were to ever use a custom banner. Kudos, my friend.
My dream is to get Chrono Compendium to help me out with their Chrono Trigger retranslation, so we could inject it properly into a WAD and use that exact banner you showed in those links. Only then will I truly find happiness (With the wii).

First day I got banners working

Never released, and started making fullscreen emulator/homebrew banners.

Nice to see that other people are starting to investigate and manage to get them made too

Kinda off topic, but did anyone else notice the homebrew channel w/banner in his wii dash-board(check first picture)? Maybe I'm just an idiot who doesn't know who is doing what
