....and its getting on my damn nerves. Sometimes when I open a new tab for a new page, it will crash and then I lose all my work. It's been happening for like a week now and I don't know how it began. Anyone else experiencing this and is there a way to fix it? I really don't want to switch to FireFox again cause Firefox has been really slow for me.

Well is it configured to load the previous session every time you open it? Then when it crashes you wouldn't loose all your work. Or you can get RSWare Iron (which is pretty much the same thing as Chrome but with more privacy, no data goes to Google) and see if that works.

It does do that, but sometimes it doesn't. Besides, it shouldn't be crashing like this in the first place. It's getting rather annoying.

Isn't 5 the dev channel, meaning an unstable version?

I suggest switching back to a stable release and see if it still happens.
The version number that he gave is not for the dev channel. but the beta channel. The beta channel is considerably more stable than the dev channel.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome yet?

He obviously knows whats FireFox and has used it before but he must want to use Chrome for some reason like I do, maybe he doesn't need add ons and likes the simple feel and speed of chrome instead

How many addons were you using? I know Chrome has been fine for me on the few occasions I've used it here though.
