So I have worked with a program at my school for mathematics tutoring for a while,
We are scheduled people from math classes that are failing these classes. On top of various other things like attending lectures I get paid:
Half an hour if they don't show up
an hour if they show up
I have worked with this program for a year now.
One of my coworkers found that in our contract, we are supposed to get paid per hour regardless if they show up. Instead of holding a law suit, we all get compensated for the lost hours from our time of working here (for me it is a full year and 3 months)
I am getting about a grand and a half Christmas bonus
