Hacking Childproof USB Loader 1.1

USB LOADER v1.1 mods by m-tek

Knocked this up so my kids couldnt install/remove or format via the wii using USB loader 1.1

This has been compiled from "USB Loader 1.1.LoPsT edition" + "USB Loader 1.1. by Sorg" + my own bits.. Which has a higher hdd compatability due to it waiting for the hdd to initialize..Also ive notice ntsc isos booting on my pal wii.......




Full Adult version available now !!!(Install/Remove/Format enabled)

• Removed Install Game Option
• Removed Remove Game Option
• Removed Format Option
• Removed Game Boot comformation Screen (Boot straight into the game)
• Added 17 Games per page (6 by default)

V2

• greater game compatibility (ntsc/pal)
• png loading from sd card (/USBLOADER) (working on hbc and preloader install file only..use fixed image for wads)
• Added full version + full version force ntsc

Place \USBLOADER on the root of your sd card for preloader
If your loading from hbc place /USBLOADER in the same folder as boot.dol

nice, but here is a better child proof way.
don't let any kids touch your wii.
that's what i do... if my son or his friends try to touch my wii, i slap their faces.

You wouldn't want children to play a game console... no way. Kids should know better than to play games...


The best would be parental supervision, but reality says you can't watch your children 24/7 so things like this can be useful to parents.

Thanks for this - it's fantastic. Now if only the ugly text could be converted into cover art it'd be perfect.

Nice, would it be possible to leave the options there but password them? the password could be hardcoded i dont care but at least i would have the options to do everything by entering the password

Id love to if I knew how..lol.. Im not a coder ...In fact I only installed devkitpro today so its my first day trying stuff... If you find the source for the force ntsc version I could edit that one I suppose...

As long as your telly supports the video then you should be able to play them. I can now run NTSC games through the usb loader that wouldnt run under freeloader or using any region-hack, as the usb loader just takes game relevant files it doesnt check regions. At least I assume that's why.

I noticed something strange with this - using this on my PAL wii over component (official lead) and the screen gradually gets darker on the menu. Anyone else getting this?
