As I was online I came across something interesting called Check Manager (Beta) - Wii Edition. Apparently they are making a application that can detect if a Homebrew application is safe or not. Of course since it is a beta it does not have every application, but it looked interesting. Currently it is a Windows application, but the team is working on a Mac application. Tell us what we should add in the next update!

It looks suspicious, and at best useless. If you want a list of what's 'safe/not safe', you can go there: http://wiibrew.org/wiki/List_of_homebrew_applications

Not sure of what not safe means. Maybe installing cios, but if you do it carefully... There isn't a dangerous wii app, or at least it's not intentional. It'd be rather trivial to write a nasty one that deletes your hdd, or wii file's system though.
