Super Mario World gets a native homebrew Switch port

Some of the older classics in Nintendo's library have seen their fair share of proper recompilation projects, getting a complete recoding of the game's engine and logic in another programming language different from its native release, which up to the SNES was done in assembly (N64 games started to be coded in C). Some of these titles we have discussed before, like in the case of The Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past & Super Metroid recompilation projects, which have gotten proper PC ports, and some even Switch ports, running natively on the system without relying on emulation.

Much to Nintendo's dismay, another title joins the ranks of recompilation projects based on the incredible work by the snesrev team, with the latest one being Super Mario World courtesy of @Lywx , who has created a port of the beloved classic to run natively in Switch hardware as a homebrew application. The port is still a work in progress, with the current release being in beta, but one of its current features include native recording.

Those interested can test and further discuss it on its very own GBATemp release thread here, so be sure to check it out!
