Hacking Cheats in game

I'm using an AK2i for all my games and wanted to know if activating cheats will in any way corrupt my saves or cause problems further down the road. Especially if I save the game with the cheats activated.

It really depends what game, for the most part it shouldn't affect your save.

Just put little cheats while playing a game or one by one. Or it might corrupt it.

Dragon Quest Chapters of the Chosen is the game. A few weeks ago my save became corrupted (I did not use cheats, I have not found out why it did, but I think it was because I had turned the game off/reset a few times in game, as opposed to when the the game would tell me it was okay to turn off) So I want to use some cheats to fast track me back to where I was as opposed to having to do it all over.
