ROM Hack Question Cheat search for Blade 2 the return of evil

This is more of a curiosity than a need. This is the only game this far that I cannot find cheat using Edizon with Atmosphere. Can someone show me how it is done to find the gold cheat for example?

I also extracted the save, but editing the gold value in the slot1 or slot2 xml will corrupt the save.

Your guidance is appreciated

What you can do is file the SLOT1 in a HEX editor,
such as HXD.

The file appears to be a normal text file, but it is not.
That's why use a HEX editor.
In the savegame where matias3ds uploaded to the thread,
If he is level at 7 on Mission 1 Level 7.
Search for the value "7" in the SLOT1 file.
And replace it with "8."
And only once, not all values with 7.
Do this step by step.
Again and again take the next value with "7".
Are just a few.
If you have the correct line, you can then increase the value.
You can change a lot in the SLOT1 file.

I can't do that for you.
I have already made an exception to find the energy address a pointer.
I don't play games with violence.
Hard to understand.
But games like that don't do me any good.

but if you see @Falo have able to change the money and attach power of the weapon but he also don't want to give any further tut ,.,. i manage to change money and attc power but fail to save the file because i don't understand about set a length ?

The game is one of these "Script Engine" games, a lot of stuff uses scripts instead of actual code, this makes it much harder to hack if you don't have a debugger and breakpoints.

But it's easy to mod the savegame:


StoredWeapons -> PrimaryPoint = Attack of Weapon
AccountInfo -> money

The savegame is technically a json buffer, but it uses a 4 byte length value, so after editing, you need to set the new length.""

In the save file, I am in Act 1 final stage. I changed the level to 90 (was 10 previously), modified my sword to have both of the buffs to be (9 and 99 respectively), and changed the gold amount to be 995(was 615). This was just my test save. At level 90, it takes 3-4 hits to kill the final boss in Act 1.

How to edit.
1. Open slot1 using notepad++ to see the value I want to edit. Example below for level:

I tried to make a pointer.
Needs to test it yet.
But the CODE has no effect on money.
Is normal HEX value ?
Or you have edited the Slot_0 file.
I was able to do that with yours.
But with alimazhar, that's just not possible.
Do you know more?
It also has Slot_1 instead of Slot_0 as with you.
