Hacking cheat data base not found

i just put the new firmware 4.13 for the acekard, i am using the cheat database that comes with the new firmware
cheat.dat
cheats.xml
usrcheat.dat
but when i go on the games and press x , for all the games it says cheat DB not found
how do i make it find this database?

wait, i seem to have solved the problem by pressing start and going to the patches section and enabling the cheat/action replay thing
so now the cheats work...
