Hacking Cheapest Gateway 3DS

My Yeahgeek order has now been "In transit" according to espeedpost for 8 days.

Shortage is strange. Hardware revision coming?

I asked a few sellers, two said no, one said there is a new card coming soon. Its possible it was language misunderstanding but if there is a new card I would imagine its a cost thing. My guess is that it'll be the same as the current gateway but eliminate the need for a second card, and come updated with omega firmware. Dropping the setup card would allow the gateway team to undercut knock off cards while maintaining their profit margin.

The setup card is not even worth $1. Getting arid of it will have little to no effect on their cost.

Just to add my two cents.

Ordered from Yeahgeek on Friday and received a confirmation e-mail saying the GW will be shipped within 24-48 hours.

E-mailed them to confirm and their reply is:

"Thanks for your order. But the orders for gateway can not be shipped today, as the brand new gateway 3ds flashcards haven't been published yet. It may come out on 25th."

I am noting the "brand new" and "published" but more importantly "may come out on 25th"

Got mines from Realhotstuff aswell, they ships out from US or from HK. Dealt with them a couple if times, great services.
The shipping time was pretty decent too, 7-10 business days until it arrived here.

Modchipfactory was my second shopping option but they did not have this offer last time. Well if you sure they have it in stock, ask them to confirm it. Then i don't see why not. Or you could always ask realhotstuff.hk when they gonna restock again.

They restock pretty fast after i placed my last order. Both are safe so just a matter of preferences and their delivery time.

Well according to the mod on maxconsole gateway have switched manufacturers so all resellers will be delayed getting any new stock in....not sure how long this delay will be maybe anything upto a few weeks, if you can find one that has it in stock that isn't too much more expensive I recommend just paying the extra

Our message from gateway ,the new cards will release in 2-3 weeks from 17th July.
but nobody include gateway-self can't say when new stocks can release

Gateway never say will update the hardware , so, the card maybe the same as old one.
But nobody has stocks of Gateway 3DS now,
new cards haven't released, old ones sold out

Yeahgeek says they will begin shipping the new card on the 25th. their site just updated saying they have stock. maybe someone can ask them to take some pictures and provide information on what's different if anything.

you might as well wait to play it safe. a week isn't that long anyways.

Not sure if it will get listed with another SKU later on or not.

Still waiting on Yeahgeek. They claim to restock on July 25.

A warning about Yeahgeek:
I placed an order for 2 Gateway cards with the $20 coupon.
I was thinking that I just scored myself a deal, but then they charged my credit card in CNY, making it more expensive WITH the coupon then just buying it from Eachmall
