Hacking Changing the sound...

I'm not at home w/ my DS right now, otherwise I'd try it. But can I change the Start up sound, to say... Vader's "What is thy binding my Master?" ?

In the files I found a mp3 file and wasn't sure if it was as simple as pasting another and copying the name.

UPDATE: Yeah, the sound when you turn it on. I'm pretty sure that's the mp3 I found in the files.

You mean the sound the DS makes when it starts or moonshell sound?

Yeah... not the moonshell. The sound when you first power up. Is there a file size limit?

I would think you would have to alter the DS's firmware to change that sound.

It would be cool though. I'd use "Do what you want 'cause a pirate is free" if it was possible.

It's more likely that it is just a....whadya call it....generated tone from the sound chip and not any kind of actual sound file.
