Hacking Changing PS1 discs in multiman

I've had this working before but for the life of me I can't figure out why it isn't working now. I have both of the game's discs in the same folder as "gamename1.iso" and "gamename2.iso", but when I try ejecting a disc or unplugging a USB drive it doesn't swap over to the next disc. I know it's sometimes possible to just save the game at the end of disc 1 and then load disc 2, but I want to be able to do it "properly" in case I decide to play a game where this isn't an option.

I think you have it done correctly.

Tried webman but swapping the mounted disc doesn't trigger the disc change in game.
