So I just installed SCUMMVM homebrew for PS3. The background was awful, so I made a better one, but when I replaced it nothing shows up. The file is named correctly, all caps, and is actually smaller in file size. Is there another step involved? Is there any tools that can recompile the pkg or anything to that extent, or is there and easier way?

I may be using SCUMMVM as an example, but I may do this for my other homebrew as well, so the easiest method is greatly appreciated.

You should be able to replace the PIC0.PNG/PIC1.PNG with a file manager or an FTP server.

Just go to /dev_hdd0/game//

Maybe it's your PNG which is not correct, try saving it in normal and not in interlaced, or using another software to save the file.

i had some trouble with this a while back. we told my cousin he wasn't allowed to play so i took his picture and put a big red circle with a slash though his face so it would show up when he tried to load the game! it was hilarious.

anyway, what i had to do in the end was take the original image and just edit it. i could NOT get it to load my own .png i created with any program. i never found a solution except for editing the original image.
