So I've just recently been informed about selecting the "Manually manage music and movies" option, and I need to use this feature. Problem is that when I select it and try to apply, iTunes wants to delete all my cracked apps. (I would assume Cydia is at risk as well.) Is there any way around this? Any tricks for keeping the apps?

Just a thought, if I disable the internet connection on my laptop (where I'm doing this), can I let iTunes do a full sync, and everything be okay?

Ok since I'm assuming you are using instalous there is an option in it that says synce apps(or turn on appsync) or close to that in the options.once you turn that on when you sync with iTunes they will stay on your iPad.just make sure you don't update your iPad when you plug it into iTunes.hope that helps.
