Hacking Changing from Base 58

I posted an issue I was having with CFG USB Loader
CFG USB Loader Code Dump

and Oggzee asked me to change from Base58.

How do I do this?
and what should I be using?

ModMii -> Download -> cIOS -> Recommended -> Install the generated WADs.

If I download all the d2x files, I get a lot of files for both cIOS249 and cIOS250.
Do I need to only install the 249 [56] and 250 [56] files to change the base?

It's pointless to install the same cIOS to slots 249 and 250, so u should install 249 [56] and 250 [57]
