Hey,
i searched around but couldt find a answer to this.
What is currently possible with a CFW?

The most important thing in my opinion are booting emuNAND and signature patches which enable you to install .cia files(games, homebrew etc.).

It's possible to change string beside the system version in MSET so you know whether you're in emu or sysNAND.
NTR CFW gives you cheats and plugins.
Some trivial things like screenshots etc.

Run 3ds games as cia, inject your own games into the official virtual console emulators, run DSiware and gba games (with some trickery), run emulators like retroarch with the best possible speed due to kernel access, backup/restore/decrypt/edit saved games, and even run older 3ds games at New 3DS clock speeds to reduce or eliminate framerate drops.

Oh, and yes you can run Windows 95 on your 3ds if it is a New 3DS.

I give you a tip:

What allows you the run older 3ds games at new 3ds clock speeds?

NTR CFW which is typically run on top of other CFW such as Cakes or Reinand as the most common way of booting NTR is with a homebrew .cia. In fact that is the best way since you can have a fully up to date emunand (with sysnand still at 9.2, of course) and still run NTR on it.
