Yeah, unfortunately the only DS flashcard I have is an old Acekard2 that has been blocked on the 3DS. I saw there was a way to get some DS flashcards working on the 3DS but that requires that you already have a way to install CIA files. I still think this method has potential without any Gateway or DS cards though.

I got a DS Flashcard ~ 2 Years ago. This one works without any problems.
I'll try it after I formatted my EmuNAND

btw. this is my Flashcard:

What bothers me more is the question, if you could possibly write a permanent CFW to your SysNAND.
Flashing the SysNAND is proven to be no problem at all. I just think, Gateway has gone farther to secure that only their gateway.dg files are supported with the downgrade mechanism.

From the gateway update

If you want to restore your NAND.BIN from SD Card to sysnand, simply hold UP when entering the Downgrade menu will launch the restore menu.
This can be used to go back to your original NAND, such as before downgrading.

I'm guessing any nand could be flashed here, though I wouldn't try flashing the cfw without a hardmod in case anything goes wrong.

so can we get a compatibility list or something? that is really the main question yeah we can install .cia's but last time i was reading that thread there was never any consensus on what games will run, what games will not run when installed on palantine cfw as cia because of higher fw requirement?

I just downgraded my sister's 3ds, but i can't get the cfw exploit to work.
When I press ds profile, sometimes the screen will flicker white, but the system never restarts.

This might just be a problem on my end though.

edit:
nvm. I know what i did wrong. I used my old nand backup from my 9.2 firmware instead of backing up my 4.2 firmware nand and using that.

Has anyone gotten it to successfully work yet? People getting stuck is making me wary

you have to let go of the l button once it changes to this blue or it will soft lock even if it flashes white.

No need to worry. Everything should work fine. It's just that installing cfw itself is just kinda... hard(?).

(I'm not sure how to describe it. There are just a few steps that take a while to do.)

Just do it again....I've had the white screen flicker and no reboot...I've had the blue screen fade to black after the white flicker with no reboot.
Keep trying
use palatine cfw with the gateway loader

Finally launch the exploit the usual way, and make sure to hold down the L Button. it may take as many as 10 tries to work, but don't give up. You will know it worked when the screen flashes white then black for a second.
It happened for me. the buttom Screen flashed white and black for a second.
And now? Should happen any other thing? Because it stuck on this now. Top Screen is something blue-green thing and buttom screen is black. Nothing happens

Installed "homebrew 4.x" with ROP MultiLoader and started the Exploit with holding L then.

and what I exactly have todo?

That tool is supposed to encrypt homebrew Launcher.dats to be compatible with Gateway exploits. But I tried encrypting the CFW Launcher.dat, replacing the GW .dat with it and launching the browser exploit, and still had the same 3DS error message come up.

that's weird :/
I try to use the launcher.dat from Palantine CFW\SD Card folder, the buttom screen is flickering for a second, but after that, it stucks

I think I know why it doesn't boot.
I checked the boot.bin and found this:
dlp APT:U y2r:u gsp::Gpundm:u fs:USER hid:USERdsp::DSPcfg:u fs:REG ps:ps ir:u ns:s nwm::UDSnim:s ac:u am:net cfg:nor soc:U pxi:dev ptm:sysmcsnd:SNDsdmc:/arm11_code.bin sdmc:/3dshax_debug.bin sdmc:/FCRAM_Dump.bin sdmc:/AXIWRAM_Dump.bin https://nus. https://ecs. http://goeanify.x10host.com/3dsa/NetUpdateSOAP.xml http://goeanify.x10host.com/3dsa/ECommerceSOAP.xml
I'm not sure but it seems that http://goeanify.x10host.com/ is down.
Does anyone have this xml files

It's not down, you typed it wrong http://govanify.com/

dude, look into your boot.bin.
Here's the part I mean
dlp APT:U y2r:u gsp::Gpundm:u fs:USER hid:USERdsp::DSPcfg:u fs:REG ps:ps ir:u ns:s nwm::UDSnim:s ac:u am:net cfg:nor soc:U pxi:dev ptm:sysmcsnd:SNDsdmc:/arm11_code.bin sdmc:/3dshax_debug.bin sdmc:/FCRAM_Dump.bin sdmc:/AXIWRAM_Dump.binhttps://nus. https://ecs. h**p://goeanify.x10host.com/3dsa/NetUpdateSOAP.xml h**p://goeanify.x10host.com/3dsa/ECommerceSOAP.xml

and goeanify.x10host.com is down, it seems

EDIT: Downloaded the files from govanify.com, created a server with the same length of characters, edited boot.bin with hex editor. nothing changed, god damned. thought i found the problem
