Hacking (CFW) ctrclient.exe fails to run correctly

It is as the title says, actually.
I want to use the run.bat from Palantine CFW. But whenever I run it it displays:
The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b)
I have done almost everything I could find...
Can anyone help me?

Are you using a 32-bit version of WIndows? It's a 64-bit only application.
Really though, you shouldn't still be using Palantine CFW when much better alternatives have since been developed. CakesFW gbatemp.net/threads/release-cakesfw.391200/ and rxTools https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-rxtools-roxas75-3ds-toolkit-fw-2-0-9-2.382782/ have made the 4.x CFWs redundant.

I am actually trying to run pasta without using cubic ninja...so I have to go through a different procedure.
The only reason I want to do this is because I want to update my O3DS XL to firmware 9.2...

You can update your sysNAND using rxTools DevMode (Pasta Mode) and sysUpdater. Palantine CFW is outdated and shouldn't be used anymore.

Pasta is outdated as well. Use rxTools instead. You can use Pasta Mode for updating to 9.2, and it can be ran through the browser (or through mset if you're on 4.x or 6.x or have downgraded mset)
