when i press download the application has the green loading bar and does nothing else, i see there is a file in the directory but it is only 4 kb how do i get the full file to download?

Same: Just a little more info. Certificate is in the right folder but I cant assign it in settings. I have filled in deviceid and firmware but am unsure what environment means. I have keys in both a keys.dat and keys.txt just in case as well as hactools and ShopN.p12 in the folder, also just in case

You use it download game updates, DLC, and eShop titles directly from Nintendo's servers. However doing so may warrant a ban on your console because in order to download from them, you need your console's unique certificate.

Just because you have a physical cart doesn't mean you are licensed to download a digital copy of it for free, that's not how it works. If you want digital, you need to buy digital.

No as your account isn't authorised to download the digital version. Attempting this would likely get you flagged for a ban.

Game updates may be possible, but id rather say NO. Firmware isn't being distributed via CDN iirc...

So it's my understanding that insecure CDN downloaders had been floating around, and so in the interest of discouraging people from running potentially dangerous code, I'll make this release thread for my implementation.

This implementation uses the same routines the console does in grabbing NCAs, as well, there are settings you can enter to aid in anti-detection.
As with most things, use with caution as there's no 100% safety guarantee.


Also this is very much so a work-in-progress! I don't have enough time in the day to work on it constantly so PRs are welcome.

Correctly how are you downloading these? Just in case you have somehow your or Rei's certificate in there - shouldn't it be dangerous since the Certificate could be banned?

Or isn't any authentication used for downloading stuff?

Considering ANYONE can buy a physical game, Nintendo can't say for sure its your game that you are updating. So you still risk the ban.

Banned consoles are banned because of their unique certificate. And you need that to access their servers. That's how they know who to ban when using this tool.
