Cave Story DSiWare trailer
Cave Story!

Sometimes, a game is more than just a game. It's like in that Bee Gees song, the one where the guy goes "Ahh ah, ah-ah-ah-eh- AAAH!" When it's love (or agonizing pain), those are the sounds a man makes, and those are the sounds I make when I play Cave Story.

That's why I'm so excited that the game is coming to DSiWare. There are a few changes that I'm hopeful about (like the jukebox mode, the new map, and whatever those question marks mean), but more than anything, I'm just happy that I'll be able to take a legit copy of Cave Story with me wherever I go.

It's like taking keeping a picture of your significant other in your wallet or on your phone; it just makes you feel good. I think that other Cave Story fans will feel the same way. Just like me, they long to be, close to Pixel.[/p]

I love cave story but it's free on the psp and gp2x. It looks fantastic on the psp. I doubt the DSiware version will be as good.

I think the DS should be able to handle the 8-Bit version of Cave Story just fine..there was a homebrew project Port of Cave Story for DS that turned out ok....it was far from finished but it showed that its possible even without the extra DSi power.

I beat it twice on the PSP, and I believe it to be inferior, particularly to the Wii version (Which I beat it three times on.) The PSP version seems slower, somehow. As a matter of fact I know it's slower. The two versions seem to play somewhat differently. On hell, I can clear the first room in 15 seconds on the Wii. It's more like 19 on the PSP. And the PSP version does lack the other extra features of the Wii version.

Also, I'm sure even the normal DS could handle the updated Wii graphics. The game looked SNES/NES style on Wii, compared to Atari/NES style on the original. The GBA was powerful enough to handle SNES style graphics.

I really hope they do a good job. The Wii version was absolutely perfect... except for the music, which seemed to have no bass.

I will download this. I WILL BUY THIS, GODDAMMIT.

So then, will this ever get released outside of the US? I'm a bit disappointed that they didn't even try to use the touchscreen in any way (a map would've been fine, even the inventory screen or something), but it IS Cave Story so we can forgive that.

Omg that is amazing. I love Cave Story.
I played it though a few times but i could do it with just the pistol. I got toasted by the junk yard boss.

Finally...I'll have Cave Story everywhere, but this will be the 1st time I'd pay for it. Now I can have cave story on my psp, dsi, wii, and PC...Life is great
