Were you trying the J version or the U version? (As far as I know the U version isn't out, but for all I know you could have connections)

I know the J version works, but sometimes don't some region versions have problems even if the other ones didn't? If you have the U version, it'd be good to know it's working, and if you don't, it's probably premature to celebrate.

I think you're mistaken... I can't think of a single time wen different versions of DS games have been incompatible. The DS is region free, so the only difference in the game is language. USA and European DS games are virtually identical. You might be confused with console games having problems liek this ie. NTSC Wii games not working correctly on a PAL Wii, but this is a completely different issue and I don't think that there could ever be region problems with DS games.

If you're thinking of a DS Castlevania game that had problems, Harmony of Dissonance froze consistently on most microSD cards because they ran at a speed that was too slow, but this affected all versions of the game and had nothing to do with region.
