Hacking Captain Rainbow Translation POC

I think Captain Rainbow's a pretty cool guy, eh game is in Japanese and Nintendo won't do anything.

Soo..

I decided to try and translate it.

THIS IS JUST A PROOF OF CONCEPT, NOT AN ACTUAL TRANSLATION.

I opened the game and extracted "stage28.bin" found the text from the intro, and google translated some lines and inserted them back in.
The text is in raw Shift-JIS and is easy to edit with any hex editor with Shift-JIS support.

from what i heard the game is getting a euro release
so a translation project would be a waste of time

Hi, I'm not a translator but i help in a translation group. We're going to translate Captain Rainbow soon, with a simple text file because we have not hackers helping :/
We have already worked on Giftpia (an italian translation), we're Skip fans ^^
If anyone can help with the hacking, our translator will do it in english too so we can get a patch for this very special game ^^

I actually just started doing this yesterday as well, I didn't realize someone started to do this before. If any more people want to join up on this, I'd be glad to help on the hacking part.

I heard the hacking for this game is simple, it would be the first time for us since we have encountered only games with difficult hacking before XD
We'll start as we get the text ^^

That being 99% of us. If a translation team is formed I be really impressed, especially if this could be finished. Like I said before, if someone decides to start this I would more than love to help.

I prefer the way used for Fatal Frame 4. On top of that, i'm going to buy the game because i love Skip, so..
As i said, we're going to translate it anyway, in italian as usual if it's just us. But before starting, i came here searching for the help i can't seem to find among italian hackers.

It isn't really happening, more like evolving. It may never happen.
