Okay, so the planet's not nearly as lost this time around, what with people having settled on it long enough to start shooting at each other. But "Slightly Misplaced Planet 2" or "Somewhat Unfamiliar Orb 2" doesn't have the succinct strength of a "Lost Planet 2," so let's just call it a day -- and a sequel to Capcom's frenetic and famously frigid Xbox 360, PS3 and PC shooter.

We'll be putting up the video trailer soon, but in the meantime, you can view it on the Xbox Live Marketplace or have a look at some stills captured by Gamersyde. We trust you'll be able to notice the new forest environment, as well as the return of mechs, monsters and machine guns. Expect more information later today.

Wow, nice one Capcom. I had very low expectations, but they proved me wrong. Was the first one any good? I haven't gotten around to playing it yet.

EDIT: Didn't wanna make a new topic and "steal your thunder", so here's the official trailer:

It's not subbed, unfortunately. If you want it subbed, you can watch it at Kotaku.com
The game is produced by the producer of Resi 5!

Never played LP. Is that a decent game? Is that FPS or OTS-3rdPerson? Or am i way off entirely? (haven't watched the trailer, don't have time at work

Thanks, A video wasn't available from the source so I was going to update when they had the video.

I recommend everyone to watch the video, the game looks absolutely amazing. The graphics are incredibly good, and the gameplay looks so fun. (Especially zipping around with those Batman-style hookshots) It seems like it's co-op, but who knows.

i loved the first one there a demo out for all the ppl who are like "what is it?" it a reli good game im reli psyced cant wait for this reli suprised me.

The setting was good for the first one, but it was alittle above average at best. The Mech parts were boring to say the least. The on foot action was better. Best part was when your mech turned into a vehicle to jump over a chasm. I hope this time they use the grappling hook alot more efficiently.

For reference, It was a Third-Person-Shooter.

I haven't played the first one but from what I hear its really good. I may pick it up, but is this DLC or another game all together?
What are you talking about? This is a completely new game! Lost Planet 2.
Well I read that this is just DLC like The Lost and the Damned. Just an added story
